Enjoy the forest seclusion while stargazing from the hot tub, or snuggle up inside while watching old movies as a family in the cozy basement. Outdoor lovers will love the cabin’s proximity to Discovery Bike Park—just 7 minutes away! In the winter, you’re just a 20 minute drive to the main ski hill entrance. In summer, head to Georgetown Lake (15 minutes) for boating and paddleboarding, or return in winter for epic ice fishing adventures. World-class fly fishing awaits at nearby Rock Creek, where you’re also likely to spot iconic Montana wildlife, including bears, moose, elk, and mountain goats. Winter Guests: A 4WD or AWD vehicle is highly recommended during snow season. Roads are regularly plowed, but winter weather conditions can be extreme.

Access

Guests have access to all areas of the property. We do ask the you please be bear aware and treat the forest with respect. Pay attention to local fire restrictions. WINTER RESERVATIONS: 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended due to heavy snow and ice conditions, although the roads to the cabin are regularly plowed.

Space

During your stay, the entire property is exclusively yours to enjoy. Pamper yourself with a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the big skies of Montana. Enjoy old movies in the basement, or play a few rounds of ping pong! This is a great space for families and don’t for get your dog! This property allows pets on the main floor (gates will be provided).

Transit

Your own vehicle is necessary for getting to the property and for exploring Philipsburg. There are no taxis or driving services available in the area. It is highly recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter months, Montana weather is unpredictable and the roads can become icy or covered in snow. The road to the cabin is regularly plowed, however snow and ice can be present after plowing.

Welcome to THE CABIN — a spacious, pet-friendly cabin nestled in the mountains just minutes from downtown Philipsburg and Discovery Ski Area. Whether you’re here for downhill biking, fly fishing, summer lake adventures, or winter skiing nearby, this home is the perfect basecamp for exploring everything Southwest Montana has to offer. The Cabin features two upstairs bedrooms with four queen beds, a full-size Murphy bed on the main floor, and a king bed in the basement. While the basement sleeping area is not enclosed, privacy curtains are provided. This versatile layout comfortably accommodates families or groups of friends seeking adventure and relaxation. Please Note: No air conditioning No dishwasher This is a cabin in the woods, so please be aware that food storage is important. It’s important to keep food locked up to not attract bears, but also put away inside to not attract mice. We are diligent about rodent control, but unfortunately if food and crumbs are left out we cannot guarantee a mouse won’t seize the opportunity. Outdoor Recreation: Georgetown Lake: Great for summer fishing, boating, and paddleboarding. A winter hotspot for ice fishing and snowmobiling. Discovery Ski Area & MTB Park: Enjoy epic skiing and snowboarding from the main entrance, or ride the lift-accessed downhill mountain bike park in the summer. Rock Creek: A blue-ribbon trout stream perfect for fly-fishing. Hiking & Biking Trails: Explore the Flint Creek Range and surrounding National Forest with trails for all skill levels. No parties or gatherings.

Before starting any fires outside guest agrees to check and follow local fire restrictions.

Please keep doors to the outside shut at all times to prevent mice from entering the property.

Cancellation policy

To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 30 days before check-in. If you cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in, you’ll receive a 50% refund for all nights. If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, no refund will be issued. You can also receive a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.
